so, this isn't necessarily a recipe but more of a plea for all peoples to eat Basmati rice. I must admit that I'm hooked on this stuff and cannot stop praising it. Here are the benefits: It's a long grain rice so it looks pretty, it's more fragrant than traditional rice, it takes less water than traditional rice, and it cooks faster than regular white rice. The grains of Basmati rice are much longer than they are wide, and they grow even longer as they cook. They stay firm and separate, not sticky, after cooking.
2 cups white Basmati Rice
3 cups water (maximum)
salt
Bring to a boil, cover, and turn heat on low for 10 minutes.
That's it... so easy. enjoy!
